What’s in a language?

How is it when you walk into a room , that sometimes, you fall in love with it? and sometimes, you feel like you don’t belong there? sometimes, you might have a very nostalgic feeling. and sometimes, feelings of tranquility and excitement rush into you almost at once.

You often wonder at times, although they have spent a great deal of money and time perfecting the details you can’t help but see and feel the clash of colors and textures. and it is unbearable. or how you wish to undo the unfortunate matrimony of classical furniture and contemporary light fixtures which is a complete eyesore!

what do you think is missing there?
surely the one who designed or rather ‘put together the interior had done a thorough investigation fetching ideas from the best interiors ever done.
or have they?
unfortunately this is wherewe miss the bus, so to speak.
This is where a five or more year long degree in architecture/interior design and another few years of experience come in handy.
There is something called a language, which we use to get our ideas across to the other person.
which is exactly what we do in design as well. we communicate. we speak to the occupants with mere tables and chairs and curtains and rugs.  and idea or and end product. Like the language has rules and regulations, like grammar, syntax, word formation, pronunciation so on and so forth. Design langue has
Contrast , Balance ,Emphasis Proportion, Hierarchy, Repetition, Rhythm, Pattern Movement ,Variety, Unity, color grid, and alignment framing shape! There I said it! (in one breath)
